Many teach that the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit is convicting Believers of sin. That position is absolutely not supported in Scripture. There are no Scriptures that support such an idea.

The concept of confession has been hijacked by religion and turned into a religious work. The New Testament concept of confession is life giving and glorious. The church's practice of confession of sin is more Catholic than Christian. 

Sickness is not designed by God to teach you, any more than sin is designed to help you. Recognize your authority as a New Creation in Christ and exercise it over sickness and disease.

Believer, you aren't worthy to pray for the sick because you are healthy. You are worthy to pray for the sick because you are righteous! The fervent prayers of the righteous accomplishes much.

As a believer, the Bible says that we have been “washed” and “made clean”. On the other hand, religion demands that we cry out to God daily for forgiveness or a “re-cleansing” otherwise we risk a break in our relationship with God. But what Jesus had to say was very different than what the religious minded people of the day expected.
