Trying to perfect the flesh is a "fruit-less" exercise. Instead, we have been re-born from imperishable seed and will never have sin and death attached to us again! We now bear the fruit of life and have been made as He is.

Many today believe that we are saved the moment we believe but then must go through a sanctification process to be ready as the bride of Christ. That, although Christ did His part, our part is to commit to change and to work hard at looking and being more like Jesus. The good news is so much better than this! We are not only justified but we are sanctified by Him completely from re-birth and are ready to celebrate! The good news is we are not progressively being sanctified but stand holy today as we will be in Heaven.
